At the edge of Jubilee Park is Centre for Excellence, an architectural marvel designed by India’s celebrated architect, Hafeez Contractor. The arresting ancient middle-eastern style landmark was built in 1993 to house the Tata Steel Archives.

Centre for Excellence is dedicated to celebrating the legacy of our Founder, Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata, who led the country in his field of industrial activity with his vision.

Come winter, Jamshedpur explodes with the flavours of India, the dances of its people, the music and melodies of movies and maestros as well as sports events and street carnivals. Once the grand parade transports the Winter Fest into the steel city there is not a moment to spare with something for everyone.

Launched by Tata Steel in 2014, Samvaad has since been a platform for the exchange of ideas and thoughts on tribalism.

It has taken tribal music and dance beyond the realm of celebration to widen perspectives and provide instructive insights into essential aspects of the tribal way of life, the knowledge and wisdom ingrained in tribal communities as well as the aspirations of future generations.

Jamshedpur is a city with an ethos of giving both at the institutional and individual level. The steel city has innumerable NGOs and charitable societies that touch the lives of the less privileged.
