Mr.A D Baijal, V P,(RM&IM),Tata Steel to chair the newly constituted National Committee on Mining of CII
In order to serve its mining companies of the country, which includes various segment of mining sector such as coal, iron ore, lead, zinc, limestone, bauxite, gold & diamond, etc, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has decided to start a National Committee on Mining. This committee will be represented by select CII members who are engaged in mining operations and related activities and will be chaired by Mr. Arun Das Baijal, Vice - President (Raw - Materials & Iron Making), Tata Steel.
Mr Baijal (54) graduated in Metallurgical Engineering from Punjab Engineering, Chandigarh in 1969 in First Division with Hons.
Mr. Baijal joined Tata Steel in 1969 as a Graduate Trainee. Currently holding the post of Vice President (Raw Materials and Iron Making), he has wide experience in Mining and Iron Making including Explorations, Operations, and Planning Blast Furnace operation, Sinter Making and Coke Plants.
