Tata Steel gets the Best Establishment Award by the President of India, Mrs. Patibha Patil
Tata Steel has been given the Certificate of Honour for Best Establishment by her Excellency, The President of India, Mrs. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil. Competition for Apprentices held in November 2007 at Advanced Training Institutes in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Howrah and Kanpur, 3 Trade Apprentices of Shavak Nanavati Technical Institute (SNTI) were declared winners and 3 others were declared Runners-up. Three out of six Trade Apprentices are girls. These Apprentices are now employed with the Company. The names of the Winners and Runners-up are as follows -

While the winners of the Competition will get a Merit Certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- each , the Runners-up will get a Merit Certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 5,000./- each from the Government India. Based on their performance, SNTI of Tata Steel has been awarded the President of India’s Trophy for the Best Establishment.
