Annual Production in FY'2010-11 at Tata Steel
~ Tata Steel Displays an All-Round Increase in Production of Hot Metal, Crude Steel and Saleable Steel Production ~
Tata Steel completed the fiscal year, 2010-11 with an all-round increase in its hot metal, crude steel, saleable steel production and sales over last year. The crude steel production at 6.855 million tonnes exceeded the installed capacity of 6.8 mtpa in the 2nd year after commissioning of the expansion project.

Major Highlights - FY’11
Production
- G blast furnace achieved best ever annual production of 2.11 million tonnes (Previous best 2.09 million tonnes in FY’10).
- Both the Steel Melting Shop LD#2 and LD#1 achieved their best ever production of 3.80 million tonnes (Previous best 3.71 million tonnes in FY’10) and 3.05 million tonnes (Previous best 2.85 million tonnes in FY’10) respectively.
- Hot Strip Mill achieved highest ever production of 3.73 million tonnes (Previous best 3.65 million tonnes in FY’10).
- New Bar Mill achieved highest ever production of 0.72 million tonnes (Previous best 0.67 million tonnes in FY’10).
- Merchant Mill achieved highest ever production of 0.37 million tonnes (Previous best 0.34 million tonnes in FY’10).
- West Bokaro Division achieved highest ever clean coal production of 2.20 million tonnes (Previous best 2.14 million tonnes in FY’10)
- OMQ division produced highest ever iron ore of 13.55 million tonnes (Previous best 12.33 million tonnes in FY’10).
