1. Debashish Bhattacharjee, Director RD&T was selected as a ‘Fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineers (INAE)’

2. Subhankar Ganguly, Researcher, Steel Making and Casting research group was awarded the prestigious ‘Alexander von Humboldt’ scholarship for carrying out his Post Doctoral research in Germany.

3. Monideepa Mukherjee, Researcher, Product Research Group was awarded the Post Doctoral fellowship from RWTH, Aachen University

4. A K Mukherjee, Researcher, Raw material and Coke making Research Group received the prestigious ‘National Mineral Award 2007’ for his contribution in the area of Mineral Beneficiation. The award was presented in a special award presentation ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi by Hon'ble Minister of Mines, Govt. of India.

5. Manish Raj, Researcher, Coated Product Research Group received the ‘National NDT award-2008’ awarded by the Indian Society of Non-destructive Testing (ISNT) in the category of Industrial Application
